I just got done watching the Samurai X OVA 2 and it wasn't that great. It was completely depressing and quite jumpy when it came to the story. The main thing that I was confused about was the red "scars/stuff" all over Kenshins and Kaorus body. What the hell was that from? I understand that she died from loving him to much but did he die from a similar fate or was it just from getting in to many battles?

This is all going off memory so i could have a few things mixed up here.
Erm, not quite sure what ova 2 (is it seishouhen?) is but i assume its the final one that _really_ ends kenshin. IIRC kenshin has had that disease most of his life, its highly contagious from direct contact which is why he always wears the same 'scruffy' clothes. Kaoru deliverately infected herself so she could suffer what kenshin was suffering, and because otherwise there would have been no kenji. It is this disease that eventually kills him. It had _nothing_ to do with his fighting etc. I don't know where kenshin originally got the disease.

Nope. It does not appear AFAIK (but then I've only seen up to and including the Kyoto arc). But the fansubs I've seen of "Reflection" have been rather vague and not terribly helpful (in contrast to the ADV DVD release which --- incidentally --- I got yesterday and is a bit clearer in that regard).
