CPU: IBM Custom PowerPC 3.5 GHz + 4 internal Power PC G5 cores running at 2.5 GHz each. Each core will have 128 KB or 256 Kb L1 cache. The whole CPU will share 512 KB - 1 MB of L2 cache. As you can see they are deciding wether to go up one notch. But never the less, its a very powerful CPU with 4 custom G5 cores.

There will also be two hardware threads per core, 8 hardware threads total.

12 billion dot product operations per second

Theoritical of 10 GHz total + 3 GHz CPU speed

Xbox 360 CPU:

Three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz each = theoritical of 9.6 GHz + 3.2 GHz CPU speed
Two hardware threads per core; six hardware threads total
VMX-128 vector unit per core; three total
128 VMX-128 registers per hardware thread
1 MB L2 cace

Revolution GPU

ATI Custom based RN520 core. the "N" stands for nintendo, and is because the ArtX team is with them, thats why its an "N". There will be 2 GPU cores (just like the nVidia SLI motherboard with two Graphics Chips), this will use ATI's alternative, and will be the first in any console.

Both GPU's will have 256 MB's of GDDR4 memory, with an addional 16 MB of eDRAM total. eDRAM is an onboard flash memory, just like the 3 MB on
the gamecubes flipper.

The cores will run at 600 MHz each, (rumours are that its possible 500 MHz each), but i doubt that.

24-to-48 way parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines for each core with unified shader architecture.

Polygon Performance: 500 million triangles per second theoritical, average ingame would be around <100 Million/sec

Shader Performance: 48 billion shader operations per second

Revolution memory

512 MB of 700 MHz Updated 1T-SRAM (its a totally redone design of something new, remember the nitrous i talked about)

Also, as I said I’m going to add more info, the Revolution will support a PPU chip (Physical Processing Chip). This chip is very new to computer architecture, and it will mainly help in the physics area. There will be 32 MB’s of its own RAM, which will link to the CPU and GPU. To compare to the usage of physics used in current games, Half Life 2 only used 5 MB’s, Rebel strike used around 1.3 MB’s, and RE4 used 3 MB’s, but this is off main memory, which made performance issues.

There will also be a separate sound card that will support only DD 5.1 – DTS 7.1, rumours has it will have 16 MB’s, like the Cube DSP.

competitive with 360 and PS3.

Ye gods!

This thing isn't RUMORED, it's complete FAKE. I don't understand how anyone could believe this crap might actually be true, COME ON here! It's basically xbox 360 and adding a bit to each individual spec. Oh, and adding a PPU too on top, because who knows what we'd use a quad-core CPU for...

Pure fantasy straight from la-la land made to trick gullible people. Would be interesting to see how you think all this would squeeze into the tiny case nintendo showed at E3...

ignore the troll

Red- phase a simple search would have shown that this topic has been talked about and proven fake .

THe thought of being able to first produce this cheaply and then fit it in such a small form factor is laughable .

Secondly we already know based on pc parts that its much more cost effective to simply add more piplines and shader units than it is to go dual gpu . In the space of 2 r520s which are most likely going to be around 300m transitors each equaling 600m transitors you can most likely build a 64 pipeline version of the r520

IF you really want to speculate try this

dual core 2.5ghz power based cpu 2mb cache
a modified r520 from ati
a ppu

256 megs of t1sram to the gpu
256 megs of t1sram split between the ppu and the cpu .

Personaly i believe this will be enough to put the same images (if not greater ) on the screen as the ps3 and xbox 360. But at a reduced cost and at reduced heat output compared with those consoles .

If the jump to 65nm happens before nintendo launches then this set up above will be very cheap to produce , very powerfull and produce very little heat

that is not competive....

hell thats not even at high level PCs hahahahah

come on

You need 165 million transistors to put a PowerPC 970MP with 2MB of L2 cache using normal SRAM for the cache and 84 milions using 1T-SRAM.

Is a possible scenario since the Gekko uses 21 milion transistors in 180nm and we can use 84 milion transistors at 90nm.

But the problem is another time the power consumption.

A 3.2 GHz triple core processor needs "water"-cooling, and a 3.5 GHz quad core fits into that thin casing? Come on! :p

Please, do not feed the troll... It's just bad for the environment and your health. :)

Hong.

Yes the people that makes up these fakes specs should atleast take the time to make something up that makes remotely sense. These specs are so stupid, that you have to be a complete moron to beleive them.

Can we lock these kinds of rediculous fanb_y masterbation speculation threads when they start? Gee wiz....

This is suppose to be B3D, not gamefaq forums.

Yes, these types of threads will be closed in the future. The autho of the thread seems to be confused with one of his posts about ignoring the troll. No matter, there will be no continued need to further ignore this troll as he is being banned for two weeks. After that we will see if he is able to post in a constructive manner.
