If Skyrim VR and Fallout VR can be modded, then those are porn games also. :p

I think the most Pervy game on the Quest in Europe is probably something like Dance Central.

I would love game publishers on any platform to treat us as adults a little bit more over here.

I personally would love a game like GTA V but with a mode where every woman (or man or both whatever your preference) is after you and you have to maintain any given legal job and provide for yourself for as long as possible in spite of that.

I could also see a very nice alternative version of many other games like that. I mean who wants to be chased by zombies all the time! Make love not war people!

What vr nature you recommend? I only have the thousands torii gate in Japan vr walking simulator thingy.

Okay visual, but bad 3d audio.

PSVR piano vr thingy is still the best audio and visual

Unfortunately for me, until they get to the point where the high resolution panel can follow your eyes, it's a no go. In general, I prefer to move my eyes rather than move my head. This makes for a rather disconcerting experience whenever my eyes cross from the high resolution display to the lower resolution peripheral display with the Varjo headsets which is unfortunate.

It may be possible that with extended use, my visual system would adjust, but for the one time I tried it, I really did not like it.

Considering the resolution of their peripheral display, I'd be quite interested in a headset that just got rid of the higher resolution focus display. Well, depending on how much persistence there is in the LCD used for the peripheral display. I could see them potentially cutting corners there since it's meant primarily for peripheral vision. That would be bad as a main display if that were the case.

Moving around the tiny "focus panel" around your eye sockets fast enough for the latency between "new eye position" and "new panel position" to not be too perceptible (or nauseating) should be quite the feat in mechanical engineering. Not to mention the fact that using all these fast moving mechanical parts would make me question exactly how long this would last.

Perhaps the best use of eye-tracking would be to have two very high-resolution stationary screens and then use the eye-tracking coordinates to determine the focus zone in foveated rendering.

I don't believe varjo is trying to sell their headsets to regular people. It's mostly for cad/design and other professional stuff. It's fascinating to follow what they can do. Their current ar enabled headset is interesting alternative way to try to solve what hololens does. Long term I believe hololens is right way to go, but today varjo might be better. Varjo doesn't end up having same limitations when doing ar as hololens has. They can do real good vr + add vr on top of that using the dual cameras + it's 115fov solution with super high res. Great for looking at designs in vr/ar.

the lenses also need to be able to follow eyes, as currently (e.g. Quest 2) the sharp area is only right in front of eyes. More to edge = more chromatic aberration

What I dont understand is every week for a hell of a long time steam has released their list of best sellers for the week and the valve index has been near the top on every list
(something I found suspicious, someone tried to justify it by saying it may not be number of units sold but total dollars taken)
Anyway when steam released their sales for the year in the following format
    Platinum: 1st - 12th Top Seller
    Gold: 13th - 24th Top Seller
    Silver: 25th - 40th Top Seller
    Bronze: 41st - 100th Top Seller

    Valve index was not listed...
Here are the ten top selling titles on Steam for the week as reported by Valve: 10th Jan
    Rust.
    Valve Index VR Kit.
    Cyberpunk 2077.
    Sea of Thieves.
    Phasmophobia.
    Raft.
    Hades.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - Operation Broken Fang.
    Grand Theft Auto V.
    Red Dead Redemption 2

I see lots of angry Index players in reviews because older games don't get updates for the latest VR control hardware. There are a lot of VR games that were built for old Rift and Vive controls and either don't work quite right or aren't playable on newer hardware. I run into it with WMR controls too but usually it's not a showstopper.
