Finished the game last night. Before my partner. Last two biomes completed on my first try, credits rolled. Gaming street cred restored, all is good, no divorce needed.
Now I have to get some kind of secret ending apparently?

Yup, there's also a true ending. But at least the game difficulty doesn't go up on the next playthrough. At least Admiral Bahroo didn't notice any increase in difficulty (which made him sad). Basically there's no NG+.
I only watched it off and on when he went for the True Ending, so I'm not sure what you have to do differently to get it. You do keep all of your Metroidvania area accessing abilities though, so I'd imagine it has something to do with areas you couldn't get to in the first playthrough.

But having seen that, I do wish that this game would have something similar to Dead Cells where you are given a weapon choice at the very beginning of a run. Even without that, it's not too hard to find your weapon of choice in a level anyway.

Nice, particle effects have been dire since the PS2 gen. We can thank the CPU's for this i assume. The above effect reminds me of a feature planetside 2 had before it was taken down again.
Latest patch broke the game. Do not update if you can or you lose your save file like I did. Not impressed.
I guess I was too late to post about this here, heard about it earlier, but was busy with other games, sorry.

I too think @London Geezer needs to present proof he finished the game.
And that has obviously nothing to do with the fact that his savegames are all gone.

After what felt like a 100 tries, finally beat the 3rd biome. Almost every time I died I felt it was my fault. And I say almost, cause f*ck those missile tossing flying drones.
