Just ended my first playthrough ! What a fantastic game ! Its simplistic but still somehow gets you, felt so so good and the end keeps u thikning its bout to end now, only to keep going ! Love it ! love it !

and the framerate is stable that I didn't get bothered but yes, you can tell its not a 60 fps game when u want to swtich grind rails quickly and the game won't respond that quickly. Other than the sluggish grind rail controls, this is one gem of game !   !

On to the challenge mode, now that I got my RRRRRYNO already :D

How long did it take you to clock it Renegade? Hope it's not a 5hr quickie.
Definitely not that ! I have been playing extensively since Monday and its Saturday here today and I went to work only for two days. Even if I say I avergaed 4 hours a day, should be more actually, that still makes it atleast 20 hours for me.

I will have to see if the game tells me y playtime. But no, not a 5 hour thing at all !

and it is one of those rare games where I restarted the campaign (Challenge mode) as soon as I finished it ! First game to feel this way since TLOU where I restarted the moment it ended. Good game, no doubt :) !

And then there is challenge mode. There aren't many Game+ modes that I've been that into because many feel like unnatural extensions of the game but Challenge mode in R&C is one of the few an works because the core game mechanics are so well tuned and just plain fun. R&C is also one of the few franchises with collectibles where collecting things things doesn't seem to like torturous chore - apart from the original first PS2 game and that 150,000 bolts you needed for the RYNO. Man, they made you grind for that bastard.

So looking forward to playing this on Friday. And Saturday. And Sunday

Yeah, playing the challenge mode now and it's so hooking now that I have my arsenal pumped up, the visuals go do busy with explosions and bolts that I mostly use auto-aiming weapons : fire and forget ! :D
And u r very tight about the collectibles in this game. Very well integrated, even collecting the holocards is addictive (and non punishing since u can trade duplicates to get the cards u don't have) as it adds to the game. Completing sets gives u very tangible bonuses, specially for ur new game +. Also, the omega versions of weapons become available only when u have the set of cards, which make sit even worthwhile and productive. And asu progress with the game drop rate of cards, bolts keeps increasing, so there is literally no grind at all.

Got my RYNO in my first playthrough without looking it up on the net or anything. But That omega version of RYNO is bloody 1million bolts , let's see how that goes[emoji14]! Need that multiplier in the challenge mode to stay high !

Ok, got that 20 hours figure wrong, sorry. It was closer to 16 hours, cos I played for 4 days, not 5, tuesdayto friday, then a bit more on saturday morn. I talked to two other friends too and they clocked around 12-13 hours for their first playthrough, so with me finding 20/28 golden bolts and all Ryno cards + all gadgets in my playthrough 16-17 hours sounds totally right ! :)
