Just to bring this one back up from October, but R499 is how ATI are referencing X1900.

Chopped snippets from the driver .inf:

"Radeon X1900 Series" = ati2mtag_R499
"Radeon X1900 XTX" = ati2mtag_R499

Speculation on why they aren't using R580 on a postcard to the usual address.

Thanks for the clear up. They also using rv26v instead of rv530 in the inf file.

So they are using Xenos chips as PC parts. Nothing new I take it.
