Might even be worth checking out -- as it stands I haven't really heard or seen anything from Q4 that deems it worthy of a purchase.

I doubt my word is worth anything to you, but Quake IV is bloody awesome. If you like Sci-Fi shooters and Ravensoft games then I HIGHLY recommend it.

QII was pretty fun back in the day. I hope they fix it for widescreen play (single and splitscreen).
