Hmmm.... in the trailer, if that IS Capelli, then those guys are deliberatley going into th emost infested area as if for Vengeance or something.
IMO, Capelli must have learnt the way to destroy Chimera after the end of R2. then , when somehow he made it back to earth, hje reported to the SRPA. The SRPA did not agree to his crazy plan and decided on a more strategic plan which required pulling back and regrouping before attacking. Capelli knows that it would be too late if that happens and he sheds his uniform and inspired the supreme sacrifice of Nathan Hale , he goes all alone Rambo style into the heart of Chimera fortress to destroy whatever needs to be destroyed to finish the Chimera off. Along the way, he finds allies with people who have lost their families and taken it onto themselves to kill Chimera or be killed. Thus , although, there is no SRPA around, we still get allies (for co-op) and we take an underground civilian Resistance to Victory by the end of the campaign
!
Well, thats what I gather from the trailer. I hope this isn't true though, as this story is too , well, "American" :-/ ! And I don't want 6 player co-op in the SP campaign itself, as the trailer has six people in the train. Let the SP be 2 player co-op max, like R:FOM and let there be a R2 style co-op campaign, which anyways was a perfect combination in R2.
Also, I don't like the fact that there seems to be no SRPA around. I mean, we lost the WWII setting going from R:FOM to R2. I don't want them to lose the military theme too, going fromR2 to R3. The trailer has an unmistakable Left4Dead vibe, which I hope does not come true at all
!
Wait n watch is all we can do. I think they said "Wait for PAX !" via Twitter.
