It seems that aside from a couple of exceptions the 1.6 Ghz G5 is a little faster than the PPU in the PS3's Cell.
To be honest im suprised by how well the PPE compares in this case given the architectural differences. I guess that would make 3 of them in Xenon quite comparable to a dual core G5 at say 2.5Ghz.
