PS3 launch details by Gamestop

there's no way Spider-Man 3 wont come out at the time as the film. so way after october 2006 then.

i don't think sony would put out so many of their top franchises at the same time either. Motorstorm, F1 and GT in the same month doesn't make sense.

I would pick mid-Novemember or as long as they can possibly delay it.

Same as MS. Companies want to hit the Holiday, but they always delay everything as long as possible in Videogames because they're slower than Molasses.

Hell, I think we will see early December hardware launches probably eventually. MS already does third week of November..

Now it's 26+?

I gaurentee many of those came 1-2 weeks later.

I just remember Tekken and a few others. Seemed like the normal handful.

A official launch list would be nice..

Sony originally planned to ship 1 million units for the U.S. launch of PlayStation 2, says Stephanie Iwamasa, spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment. But component problems hampered that plan and the company shipped only 500,000 units. (See "PlayStation 2 Launch: Only Half the Fun.")

Heh, sounds familiar..

No, that article says 26 (and that was what was available right *then*, launch day) - Sony says 29 apparently. Hence +

Why would you doubt this? Whats the point?

X360 was more like "1/3 the fun", from predictions anyway.

Also I thought PS2 had like 6 games and Fantavision. The infamous fantavision.

Comer on Titanio

Huh?

Maybe you're thinking of the Japanese launch, but there were more than 6 there anyway.

Anecdotal evidence aside, the official list was 29 titles at the US launch.
