Hi there, Im thinking of buying a widescreen 30Inch LCD monitor for me new PC & want to be able to connect my PS3 up to it. Ive heard that you can, but i dont know how & if possible on a 30Inch.

AFAIK, none of the 30" TFT monitors have a scaler so they only support 2560x1600 and half-res (1280x800). To get any of the HDTV resolutions, you'd need a seperate scaler. Gefen makes some, but none that support 2560x1600 yet, only 1920x1200.
720p and less should work in the half-res mode.
There've been a bunch of posts lately about using monitors with consoles/hd-players so search if you want more info.
Actually Apple's 30" supports 2560x1600 (native), 2048x1280, 1920x1200, 1280x800, and 1024x640. However it currently doesn't support HDCP, so you're screwed in that department...
