I can't really believe the first pic's detail until I see the game hands-on... but:

is that a european car though ? I can't figure out what the rear view mirror is doing on the left side ?
 
Cars in Europe have the steering on the left (like it should be), with only Britain being the outsider in this regard.

The car you're looking at could be a TVR.
 
I know Bizarre Creations would like to think they are creative and artistic in their VG photography, but show a freaking proper screenshot! I think those would sell a game more than an extreme close up of AC knobs or turn signals!
 
I know, I know...

It just makes me want to kick 'em right in the arse if I ever met one of their dev members (or PR members).

Dash detail is definitely good, but the scenery is of the 'old' style. Very pleased with the quality of the map though - scarcely a jaggie in sight! This is assuming it's a rotatable map and not just a 2D bitmap.
 
I'll believe the other *screens* when I see it... some pretty pictures of some buildings aren't really proof that it's indeed from the game and used while racing (I also haven't seen any interviews or comments from the official site confirming posted here).
 
Phil are you serious? honestly, you can't be. Did you even check bizzare creations website for proof (even the wire frame shots)?

I don't think anyone's doubting they were real CG buildings perhaps within ingame resources. The question is, why don't we see any cars in front of buildings with that quality? How come all the car pics we've seen so far are with very simple buildings in the background?

Could well just be WIP pics with placeholder building graphics, but to date there's no hard evidence the quality of the scenery that you'll see when racing will be the same as those high fidelity building shots. For all we know they're part of a cutscene, in game graphics but not what you see while racing. Just like the GT4 screenshots of highres detailed images were ingame, but not while racing, as they were part of a photomode.
 
Look Shifty (and phil) don't take offense by this, but you guys SERIOUSLY need to go to the website and get the same information that anyone interested has read. They already explained on thier website, how you can move the camera around anywhere in the current build, and how pics shown were in game pics. Go look for yourself...
