[the slot immediately to the left of the PCI Express slots, is a PCI Express X16 slot (for those of you who are interested in knowing)]
 
Interesting, thanks I hadn't seen that yet. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to be easy upgrading to PCI Express mobos. Is there an upgrade path for those of us with expensive PCI peripheral cards (AiW 9800Pro, SB Audigy), or are we just expected to buy new PCI Express peripherals?
 
i guess it will be like the ISA -> PCI tansition.

the first board will have 3 PCI + 2 PCI Express, and the PCI Slots will go down to 0 after 1-2 years.

i dont know if its possible to have a PCI Express board with AGP.
 
IIRC, I remember hearing a long time ago that there will be no transition chipsets provided from Intel. Their chipsets will go straight to pure PCI-express.
