ORION
INTRODUCTION
My name is David Prassel. I am the Founder and Creator of Spiral Game Studios, a collaboration of over 50 individuals working collectively on our flagship title, 'Orion'. We are currently in a state that is between a "mod" and a "game" (more on this later). We have just recently released a public multiplayer beta on the Source engine this past December. While the beta only portrayed a version of the game that was only a fraction complete - we released to great acclaim. We were the first mod EVER to feature a closed beta with both IGN & FilePlanet as well as being nominated for multiple Mod of the Year awards. PlanetHalfLife.com says this has potential of being the next Counter-Strike.
Since the beta in December we have been busy gearing up for the launch of both the studio and an updated Orion. We've recently collected a handful of potential investors and I personally have typed a 200-page business document last month. Orion is currently being built from the ground up utilizing UDK and we are making great progress:
We have currently been invested to develop a prototype in order to shop around for publishers. All pay will be sent upon the completion of all tasks that make up the prototype.
ABOUT ORION:
Orion is a Sci-Fi fast-paced shooter. It was heavily inspired by retro games that I personally grew up on such as: Tribes 1, early Counter-Strike betas, Unreal Tournament ('99), and a bit of Halo. We've sort of mixed together the retro but a bit with more modern such as adding amazing iron sights that were inspired by Modern Warfare from a technical standpoint. Featuring unique items such as Jetpacks, Cloaking Devices, medic packs, and more, as well as vehicle warfare, 3 player classes with 2 more on the way, and plenty of plans for future content!

We are currently looking to fill all positions, but specifically the following:
- UNREAL SCRIPT PROGRAMMERS (1 POSITION OPEN) (COMPENSATION)
We are looking for an individuals both experienced and literate when it comes to Uscript programming. You will be working alongside the rest of the developers creating the game prototype that is going to be used for the studio investment as well as to shop for publishers.
PROGRAMMER REQUIREMENTS:
-Able to script in UScript / Multiplayer practices.
-Artificial Intelligence.
-Creating a new game mode (interactive – on-the-fly inputs and outputs that affect both the game mode and the environment itself).
-Able to create new pawns, actors and volumes.
-Able to create new Nodes for Kismet system.
-User Interface.
-Able to heavily manipulate weapon and vehicles to fit the game design and technical data.
EXPERIENCE:
-1 to 2 years on a previous mod development group OR game studio.
-Working sample / prototype of your work.
-Resume attached. - 2D ARTISTS - CONCEPT ARTISTS (4 POSITIONS OPEN) (NOT COMPENSATED AT THE MOMENT)
We are looking for experienced individuals who can help us create the rest of the concepts that are required for 3D artists - ranging from vehicles to characters to props. - 3D ARTISTS (4 POSITIONS OPEN) (NOT COMPENSATED AT THE MOMENT)
We are looking for experienced individuals who can help us create additional content. You will be working in a pipeline system in one of six content creation groups. Each group consists of 4 individuals (one level designer, two 3D artists, one concept artist).
You will be paid upon completion of all tasks that make up the prototype - compensation can be discussed personally.
