Old unfinished games dusted off

I finally picked up an old PS2 game I had bought some two years ago, and not got very far in it before getting bored.
The Dark Chronicle, or Dark Cloud 2 as I think it's known in some parts.

I got stuck in the second georama (Balance Valley) and gave up, the dungeons bored me to feath also and my characters were underpowered and overall the game felt just owerwhelming with me lost on what to do next. I hated the game and left it to gather dust.

Then I consulted some FAQ's and now have a better grasp on what to do and managed to proceed.
And now I like te game a lot, can't wait to get into the dungeons, upgrade weapons, invent things....

Do you have old games you've stopped playing for some reason and only learned to appreciate them later finished them enjoying every moment.

i stopped playing zelda, a link to the past (snes), because of the dungeon in the forest, where the big hand came down and killed me. i got so scared, i couldn't play it again. till today (years later).

oh, and i stopped playing zelda, wind waker, because i somehow missed the information on where to collect the individual pieces of the triforce, and now would have to ride around the sea just exploring _EVERYTHING_ to collect them.

actually, i haven't finished much games at all anyways..
f-zero x
waverace
zelda64, zelda gameboy
yoshies island 1, 2
and possibly some others.. but definitely not much.

i always get scared or bored at some place, and never touched again.

i stopped to play resident evil 4 actually just, because the time i fought against some enemy, i got a big fight with my fav. girl (not about resident evil, just happened to be at the same moment). i couldn't play it anymore for months, just because it remembered of that f**ing night wich i feel sorry about..

i've tons of unfinished things in my life. not just games :D
