Futuremark has approved a driver but it still gives cheat results for reviewers.


Think this might happen`?

It would be pretty easy to spot if FM simply compared the cheating drivers to the non-cheating ones at the bit level. It would also be very easy to circumvent simply by the act of FM downloading the drivers from Nvidia's website, the same as the public does.
What you suggest is just not a very good way of hiding the cheats.

Not to mention that FM says they'll only use WHQL drivers.... that would mean two WHQL qualifications for each driver - when they have the same number (the md5 checksums would be different between them of course so it would be detected then).... very unlikely
