I gave reasons why I think it would be worthwhile.

Nvidia wouldn't directly profit from emulation but its a big selling feature for a lot of people. There are also even more people who would love a small box the size of the shield in their living room that can play the same games as on popular consoles and pc.

I'd also imagine people would want better wifi

But....said box has been available for years and here we are. They haven't exactly been wildly popular ;). I was kinda under the impression they are only still sold because they are still making the chips because of Nintendo and so why not.

Though on the other hand if not for Nintendo there would have been another Shield Tablet and possibly more. So maybe it's Nintendo that has prevented thrilling Tegra Shield product excitement heh

Out of interest, what kind of emulation? Are there legal versions that come from the google store?

That already exists, it's called Nvidia Shield :) It comes back to my argument that Nvidia would consider their cloud service far better and a lot more profitable than attempting to compete with PC/Console with SoCs that aren't nearly as powerful.

I would like hdr support in Youtube, and AV1 support for some kind of futur proofing, and this involve a new SoC. I've a 2015 shield still rocking. Very good support by nVidia.

HDMI 2.1 and a faster decoder would be nice for 4K/120 streaming. Otherwise my current shield does everything I need.
