So basically that is 3x35.000 + 75.000, which makes about 180.000 I guess, depending on whether this is considered as a 4 week or a 5 week month. If a five week, then it could go up to 280.000.

Many thanks to the NPD group and some commentary from their Anita Frazier, NPD analyst.
Absolutely insane results. YTD industry sales up 73%, 45% for SW. And Wii GH3 edges out the PS2 version, and Half-Life 2 has a very, very good first month, given the competition.
And, what was that Sony???? You sold 75k in the last week of this reported month? And you sold 46k for the 3 weeks before that??

That hurts for Sony... even at the last week of the month rate sales they would be top by MS with no major release.
More given the 46K in three week 75k looks like a surge from the die hard fan, anyway Ms looks better and better in US always widening the gap with the ps3.

Sony going to need another price cut come spring. Probably at least $50.00 for the 40Gb and maybe for the for higher end skus. Sales effect of the $399.00 sku will be minimize by the fact that November represent a high sales month anyway.

A GT5, FFXIII, MGS4 and KZ2 all scoring above 90 with every major review website only to have 1st month sales south of 250K in the US.

My guess is that a lot of games got great sales due to the userbase size of the PS2.
This isn't real or useful data unless the average prediction of software sales from the Neogaf forums goers is a good topic of discussion here at B3D.

Oct 91k per week.
Not that bad of a drop at all. Rachet and Clank bombed at ~74.5k. PGR4? LOL
