Is that a fan vent at the top, next to the game cart panel? Or just an oddly wide speaker grille.

The "Screen + Processing Unit" looks exactly like the upper part of the devkit.
Speaker grilles are usually on the front. This is probably a fan vent, or at least a vent.

Which is good news, unless the chip is made on 32nm or something.

Well, I was wrong. They did the hybrid thing with nvidia. I don't know who will buy that... "Switch" to another console ....

Looks cool and pretty well thought out imo. Surprised to see you can apparently use 2 switches at the same time for multiplayer.

Looks very flexible and easy to play on the big screen as well as while traveling or when meeting up with friends. I can definitely see people picking this up to play cod with their friends instead of playing at home online.

That is if it gets the games. Will this be powerful enough to not be miles away from ps4 and Xbox one?

Also the battery life will have to be good and Nintendo better include a micro USB or USB c connector for charging on the road. I'm hoping the battery will be good for at least 5 or 6 hours of gaming.

Oh and please for the love of God make this thing region free.

Looks quite good and not as "kiddish" as their usual consoles. However, I wonder how durable the materials are with all the predicted controller move in out of place. And I like the name! They could even use for marketing as in "make the switch!" from other consoles.

No mention of Pascal. Usually companies tend to add "with latest top performing... " etc.

There's really nothing on nvidia's website except for saying they spent 500 man-years in it.

A big chunk of those partners are middleware vendors... but it makes the list look "cooler" than only having the Game developers which would make it shorter and less "impressive".
The whole thing is underwhelming...under powered "mobile console" with fancy (tiny) detachable controller and another Xbox looking controller...btw showing a 5 years old game (Skyrim) in your 2016 console announcement video is...weird...

Lots of questions still open
Do tablet device has a SIM card for 4g mobile internet connection?
Touchscreen tablet or just a screen, side pads must be attached on the go?
Docking base is just a charger and video port breakout box?
How do side pads are recharged at home, micro usb from both and/or one usb in a joypad frame or attach to a tablet-in-a-dock?

1 Very unlikely.
4 When attached to main module.

Yes I was saying in the office that it needed a SIM card slot &| GPS to let people chase pokemon with it !
Or sold as an accessory now that I think of it, to keep the price of the console low and people interested can purchase it...
There's the dock connector I suppose which can double as peripheral extension port...

Thoughts:

Positive:
- aesthetically hardware looks very nice.
- core of idea behind handheld device doubles as console is neat idea.
- aspect of using "joycon" modualarity as part of handheld or entire controller is cool
- pro controller looks very good
- one platform (console + handheld) for Nintendo developers to focus on

Negative/Concerns:
- again my biggest concern is yes Nintendo touts 3rd Party support at the beginning of every console but will I be able to get AAA games on it? If not that's a huge issue again. This may be as powerful as Xbox One/PS4 but it's going to miss out on most of the games that were developed for that generation of similar hardware....will developers bother to port?
- other aspect of using one half JoyCon as a small controller looks very gimmicky.
- will this support 4k video output?
- battery life of handheld?

The teasing video is good, it makes really clear what the device can do. The TV part seems the less relevant usage of the device to me. It will really come down to pricing. It is foremost a handheld with an interesting design, the price could kill it.
