Nintendo has dismissed a swathe of inaccurate Internet reporting which claimed that president Satoru Iwata had stated the company has no intentions to implement a global launch for its upcoming Revolution console.
All the hustle and bustle due to a misinterpretation of the language used. And now that it's been proven false, it's time to undermine the credence of the original claim.
What we know so far from the latest interviews is that the hardware is finished, but the final devkits haven't shipped yet. Sony isn't farther along in its schedule, either. Plus, the technology they'll use in Revolution is hardly cutting edge. So I don't see how they possibly could miss the holiday season 2006 in the US or Japan for that matter.
Europe, however, might be a different story.
