Nintendo GBA 2 ?

I think it's ugly and oversized. :?

I hope Nintendo go with something more reminiscent of the PSP design for GBA2/GCP.

How would it be oversized it would end up the same size as the psp when its fully opened .

The PSP is 170x74x23mm, going by the size of the disc I'd say it's around 120x75x25mm when closed and 120x150x15mm when open flat. If you open it on an angle it then effectively takes a far greater volume.

I prefer my gadgets small (my phone is 80x40mm), so even the PSP is a bit big for my liking, but I think getting much smaller would be impractical for cutting-edge mobile gaming. It seems like a 'flat' design like the original GBA or the PSP provides for a more efficient use of space.

I for one prefer the clamshell for protecting the screen while not in use, and over all smaller size while stored.

Don't like how it looks closed, that digital clock thing just looks messy. The buttons are clearly lifted from a gamecube and just don't work on a controller that small. The screen and shape are good concepts though.

That's oversized compared to PSP? It looks like it's between 4 - 4.5" wide or less than the diameter of a DVD.

How and why is that messy? Do you own a flash MP3 player? This is what I wish the GCP would look like except more rectangular than square. :devilish:

I think that concept borrows heavily from this Panasonic MP3 player. I wonder how that concept would look with the mirror finish that is used here and on the Panasonic Q. ;)

Yeah it looks uncomfortable to play, but then again portables always are. It is certainly is a marvel of miniaturization, and if done right it would crush PSP IMO.

I played a bit with the original GBA and it's the most comfortable portable ever :). Too bad the screen was really a shame, and it was replaced by the uncomfortable GBA SP (whose I think the lighting sucks :))

If the buttons on the original gameboy were a tad bigger I might have gotten one. Other than that, I agree. I really liked the shape to it and can't really stand the GBASP that replaced it.

The funny thing is, people say "bigger" but don't explain what they mean by that.

One axis? Two axes? Total Volume?

Perhaps the PSP is too long (wide) for some. Perhaps the DS is too thick for others.

Frankly I see them both being a bit large for me.

Oh this would be bigger than PSP, but isn't DS already bigger than PSP?

Like Ty said bigger in what way? I think the pertinent question would be, is it more portable than PSP ie is it compact in the dimensions that matter.
