New Okami Screens

Man, every frame is a glorious oil painting! :)

More like ink scrolls and water-soluble color paintings. ;p

If there's one game I am looking forward to play on PlayStation 2, it's Okami. They'd better release it here, or I'll get mad. :)

Lets put our torches and pitch forks on stand-by just in case :)

If Katarami Damacy can be brought out AND somehow sell well out here, anything can! ;) I think Okami, at least, stands a good chance.

Well, there was footage of the game on the Capcom pressvault, so it might be released here after all. ;)

This looks very much like a fasterpaced "Celda" with a wolf in Links place (!(the new Zelda also has a wolf in it, and apparently Link is that wolf)), and of course it has the thick caligraphic outline around everything. It even has the swirling spiral dust.
Look very good though, could be GOTY on PS2.
I can't see why this shouldn't be released outside asia, neither the gameplay nor the graphics seem like a definite scareaway for you typical everyday moron (like Phil).

:? :?:

Care to explain?

PS2?! Amazing what can be acheived without Shader Model 3.0...

I've gotta say, Next-gen looks like it's a year or so early. Lookingat the criticisms levelled against PS2's graphics, especially at launch, it's shown itself to be a very powerful and versatile system amongst talented and original development teams. Games like this and Wanda show excellent Artsy renderings, while 'conventional' quality graphics look set to improve as shown in the videos of games like Shining Force Neo.

I wonder if it is best this way, for current gen to cross into next gen with games capable of competing on their own terms, or would it be better for next-gen to wait until current gen is totally exhausted and has nothing more to give?

Wow! That is one of the coolest games I've seen in a long time! Any word that it's coming out for other platforms?
