New MGS: The Twin Snakes trailer and not so new RE4 trailer

A new trailer was released showing some of the redone cutscenes (so don't watch if you don't want to see spoilers). I love what they have done with the animation.

Also Capcom has released a slightly tweaked version of their E3 trailer of Biohazard 4 aka RE4

Yeah, that's just a tweaked trailer for RE4.. but I watched it 3 times anyway. That game is, uh, good.

Why does the whole Snake Eater fiasco feels corny to me ....

Is it possible that MGS3 is more of a quirky sidestory(like MGS2: Snake Tales, but inspired by Vice City) rather than the proposed prequel with Big Boss? :?

The gameplay should be interesting with the new settings, but i think we might not be getting the follow-up(or follow-back for this instance) to MGS1/2 Patriots wallabeeya plot...

The whole Snake Eater thing is really odd to me. The gameplay looks tighter than a boa constrictor's coil but.. well, I guess we'll have to wait until the game comes out before we know exactly what significance that snake eating has. Maybe it's a metaphor.

Konami's already said that eating snakes, wildlife, etc. is part of the survival gameplay.

Yes. The previous released screens were highly unimpressive. Especially in comparison to other modern genre equivalents, Silent Hill 3 and Fatal Frame 2 especially.
