New DOAX2 screenshots

Are you all quite sure those screenies aren't actually from the original Xbox1 game, period? At a glance they look remarkedly similar... Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me due to the low-res of the shots though.

I fail to see what attracts people to this game! Is it the gameplay, the boobs or a combination of both? I do not get kicks from dressing up large breasted girls in small bikinis and unless the vollyball gameplay is good I cannot imagine myself ever laying my hands on this game or any of its sequals.

I cant speak for the new one obviously, but the first one was completely devoid of gameplay and was without a doubt nothing but pixelated eyecandy. It was bad enough that it should of been a freebie for pre-odering DOA3 or something. I rent most games before i buy them due to the trash that can make its way into consoles.

Volleyball "gameplay" it had was pathetic to say the least compared to something like Beach Spikers.

The strange thing is that the only people that are completely blinded by the boobs are the ones that won't play the game. If you actually relax and play the game you will discover that it plays a bit like The Sims or Animal Crossing, a pointless timewaster without a goal or specific winning condition in other words. Volleyball is just a part of the game, it isn't THE game.
The real purpose of the game is just playing around and try to make friends or enemies, sort of, and when the time runs out it saves the intrapersonal relationships you've affected when you played, which affects your next round/vacation in the game and so on.

Interesting, I thought this game was just about the girls with Volleyball as a superficial cover for dressing them up in small bikinis. In fact, with the way the game is presented I do not see how you could view it any other way. They may have mini-games and intrapersonal relationships that affect the game, but that does not really change what the main marketing draw of the game is: the girls.

i liked the casino part of the game.... i just couldnt understand the volleyball aspect...
bweh, should have been a budget game

Go to Walmart and buy a Barbie doll. You've said a ton of money and you actually get to feel it.

Well, with the way Zelda: The Windwaker is presented, how could you NOT think it was a game meant for kids and kids only? Shrill voices, cartoon-graphics etc, why would a grown man play that?
Or the way they present the GTA-series, how can it NOT be game solely about glorifying substance abuse, whoremongering and wreckless killing sprees? Fucking prostitues and killing civilians is suddenly more innocent than girls giving each other gifts between volleyball sets?
How can anyone view The Wind Waker or GTA in any other way?

So what if the girls are the main draw in marketing, it's just like how the draw in each new Fight Night is the men and how much more sweaty and bouncy their muscles are compared to the last iteration. And if the marketing draw indicates anything about the potential customers of DOA:XBV, what would a game like Soldier of Fortune imply about the people buying it, considering that the draw of the game is its advanced system for mutilation, visual suffering of enemies and gory dismemberment?

I fail to see what you are trying to say here? Grand Theft Auto does glorify gang life and The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker is marketed with kids in mind. That does not mean the people playing them are gangbanging thugs or children. DOA: XBV looks superficial, as if the only thing it offers is scantly clad women with big bouncing boobs! GTA and Zelda are complex games with heavy influence on story, adventure and action. Everything in DOA: XBV seems bent around exploiting the women and their bodies.

So what if the girls are the main draw in marketing, it's just like how the draw in each new Fight Night is the men and how much more sweaty and bouncy their muscles are compared to the last iteration. I am not saying that using girls to draw in a potential buyer is a bad thing! Just that DOA: XBV does not seem to offer any other redeemable qualities in terms of gameplay. I agree, violence and mutilation are far worse a reason to buy a game, but in GTA's case the game offers far more than mindless violence and mutilation.

some interesting photographs off hdtv

it seems that 360 is not powerfull enough to add tan lines, so some swimming suits parts had to be removed :D
