Sort of hopeful that the ongoing shitshow in the US will act as a brake to the support for the right-wing populists

It definitely seems to have had that effect on Canada. Not sure if musk helped or harmed in Germany but i'm glad it worked out in the end.

I don't know if there's a correlation or just conspiracy but during the "deal making" with Ukraine, russians discovered and destroyed lots of starlink's ground bases. Never before, never again after.

I've also seen it reported that Ukraine have been taking out a lot of Russian Starlink bases, though whether or not this has been an ongoing process, I couldn't say for sure:
