Musk bought Twitter, what hasn't gone wrong?

Btw geohot has been fired or not? Wht did he even made?
geohot was hired last month, but only for a 12 week's internship. This is probably not a guy you really want to fire, he's hacked systems from the outside and he probably not knows how Twitter works internally.

This will be like a red rag to a Bull for the EU, they've already warned Musk about content moderation.

BBC News: Twitter condemned by UN and EU over reporters’ ban:

BBC News said:
Reporters for the New York Times, CNN and the Washington Post were among those locked out of their accounts. The UN tweeted that media freedom is "not a toy" while the EU has threatened Twitter with sanctions.

I wonder if Musk knows that most European countries have the ability to freeze accounts and seize financial assets as part of their sanctions measures. Russian oligarchs learned this the hard way. The EU Commission may well own Twitter by Monday morning. It will be renamed as Le Twit. :runaway:

I don't know how it works in the land of the freedom of speech, but in my country from the license number a private can at least track the name of the owner for insurance reasons, and if you call the police they can check more info. There's no need to post an "have you seen it?". As any usa related stuff, I'm both confused and happy to not understand it.
What happened next?

The same in the US.

The reason folks point out the posting of the license plate is it goes against Musks own rules, similarly to how Aviation information for flights is also public info yet was deemed by Musk to not be acceptable to post.

From what I have seen, there has been no police reports filed on the incident by Musk or anyone else. The incident took place 25 miles away from the airport, and is is over an hour away going by LA traffic.

I did not see if the person was identified accurately. I can only assume if they were, their Twitter account and everyone else with the same name that was ever in California has been banned. :ROFLMAO:

Musk put it up to a user vote if he should step down as CEO of Twitter.

Free speech guy who went on multiple tangents about free speech didn't care about free speech? No crap. He will just fix the numbers anyway if things aren't favorable or put someone in charge who is his yes man. This is how powerful people who didn't earn what they have but merely got lucky are like.

What's more scary to me is that he has so many people who think he is a genius just because he has money he can throw around, and do not consider any of the people of his companies(the actual geniuses) who he has always treated like dirt. Seems like that's just how things work

Yes the people that worship him and think he is the smartest human on earth are plentiful and quite scary. He is smart, he does have mental health issues, he has gotten lucky as well and been given fawning coverage and Marvel movie cameos to sell his schtick. Hopefully he can get his head on straight but if not hopefully he just burns through lots of good money instead of doing something terrible.

There's also a fair bit about Elon doing banning of links to other social media sites and saying Twitter is a publisher that it opens Twitter up to being responsible for all tweets:

"It appears that you admit that you’re a publisher for purposes of Section 230 of Title 47 of the United States Code," Mariotti explained to Musk. "Have you thought about the consequences of the positions you’re taking, or are you just winging it?"

"Any attempt to remove my tweets that link to my other social media accounts, not violating any law, would actually make Twitter an editorial media, and no longer a social media platform, with civil and criminal liability for *any* illegal content therein," he explained.
