MS's command line interface?

MS had prepared to roll out a replacement for good/bad 'ol command.com with windows vista as I recalled but like so many others the feature got cut and they made some sort of standalone version open as a downloadable feature for XP.

Where might one find this thing today? I don't recall its name..

It made me curious. I was thinking maybe I should check it out - having used CLIs since I bought my Amiga. Most likely MS's implementation is a 12+ MB download that consumes 40MB RAM while running and still doesn't offer the functionality of AmigaOS 2.0's shell + ARexx that ran just fine from a floppy with 1MB RAM!

Like I said I'd just like to check it out heh.

Thanks for any assistance.
Peace.

Command.com hasn't existed since Win9x/ME. The NT5 and NT6 OSes use cmd.exe

As for true "dos standalone", there isn't one and never will be. Microsoft officially washes its hands of DOS entirely, even when booting to the network, now that WindowsPE 2.0 is officially open to the public.
