Msn and Yahoo! messengers problem

Today I have problems connecting to both msn and yahoo messengers, yahoo messenger just won't connect from time to time, and msn won't connect at all and keeps giving me a lot of different error codes.
I wonder if it's just a local problem, or if they are actually starting merging their networks.

Can some of you tell me if they are facing similar problems?

Nope no problems here. But I use GAIM to connect to their networks.

It might be a local problem, I cannot connect with either miranda, nor their official programs. Cannot even reach http://webmessenger.msn.com

EDIT: i even tried installing gaim 2.0, no help. It's weird that i cannot connect to both of them while ICQ AOL Jabber, Skype and Gtalk work. (yeah that's the bad part with having friends using different IM programs, you have to use them all!)

I had trouble connecting to MSN till yesterday (with GAIM; web messenger worked) but today it's fine.
I'm using 1.5.0 (2.0.0 is beta, I'll wait till final to try it)

I think the MSN network encountered some problems . .

me too having problems with MSN (7.5)

after fiddling around with different settings (Anti virus/ firewall ) chaning ip on my router
rebooting etc....

i REINSTALLED my windows . formatted my harddisk and problem still stays

i connected now trough windows messenger (the one inside windows xp) ...
bizar bizar ...

I have been using trillian for some time, before switching to miranda when I needed a jabber connection. I actually wanted to buy the pro version (which comes with jabber), but a friend of mine was having problems with it's Jabber plugin. Plus miranda is fully configurable and free!

P.S. Everything is working ok again, I really suspect yahoo! and msn are doing the first tests to join their two networs.
