Is the PAL version any different? i've got an aussie copy. I found meta ridley a peice of cake compared to Prime (and suprisingly the Omega-pirate even easier given all the complaints) and I almost gave up on her (I had to take a week of metroid prime because she gave me such a beating  lol) I did the first part and only lost two bars of energy, at this stage I thought i'd finished the game hehe.. then primes spirit wiped the floor with me.

You only have to scan every important item if you want a set of concept art slides.. which is really nothing to most people.

Only certain things must be scanned and personally I thought it was a cool addition to the Metroid gameplay. The game was astoundingly well-designed in almost every definable category IMO. If MP2 is better than MP1, I'll eat my hat.

I don't quite get how you can die or even get hurt very much from Primes second form. All you have to do is jump when you hear the sound of rushing energy.

I had like one tank left when I got to it and I actually regained health during the fight.

    It's overall a harder game.

I found Meta Ridley to be a total beezotch, I was down to my LAST energy tank when I beat him. He rushed and swiped me tons, such cheap-ass moves. Very hard to dodge.

Omega Pirate gave me some problems, but I still took him out on my first attempt. Don't think I had very much energy left, but he died and that's what's important. :)

    Two words: Power Bombs.

For fission metroids, just wait for one to grab you, then BOOM. Both die (other one should be right next to you). And if they're hunter or normal metroids, ice -> Missile is no big deal.
