Melbourne is better than the world

Where does it say anything about "the world's" best city in that artile? It clearly states it's an australian survey, conducted amongst australians only.

Are you trying to suggest someone in the world their maybe be a city better then one in Australia pfft you foregin people know nothing.

Um, yeah, pretty much any city outside australia would be better, at least then you don't have to empty out your shoes in the morning to get rid of all the poisonous spiders, snakes and scorpions that have amassed there during the night... Duh.

:D

I've got no bugs in my room which is cool considering I'ts been months seen I last vacuumed and changed my bedsheets.

Some things are better left unsaid.

Of course, with you I wouldn't expect it. Neither would I expect it of myself.

Even if it wasn't Australia-only, Melbourne ranks pretty high on the "World's most livable cities" list. Somewhere in the top 3 I'd imagine, and probably with some Canadian city being first.

Although I question their methodology, as anyone who lives in the US knows that Washington DC, New York, and Chicago are some of the worst cities to live in here.

Hahah, that list has to be seriously screwed to have Auckland there. Bugger living in that hellhole.
If u asked NZers which was best in NZ, Queenstown and Tauranga would more likely be 1st and 2nd, not Aucks and Wellington.

Errr, no. Wellington ranks pretty highly thanks mostly to its compact structure forced by the geography. Auckland's biggest grumble is transport thanks to its spread out layout and inadequite public transport system.

I think many cities in the Netherlands would offer a better quality of life than Amsterdam.

hey ive been to all the cities in the top10 :)
1 Zurich Switzerland 108.2
2 Geneva Switzerland 108.1
3 Vancouver Canada 107.7
4 Vienna Austria 107.5
5 Auckland New Zealand 107.3
6 Düsseldorf Germany 107.2

8 Munich Germany 106.8
9 Bern Switzerland 106.5
9 Sydney Australia 106.5

im from a small town just south of auckland, true auckland is a bit of a shithole ( i assume it scores highly compared to other nz cities is cause of access to major sports/arts events etc )
also only large cities are considered ( thats why amsterdam is choosen, if u can only include the 3 choices of roterdam + den haag + amsterdam )

Are you trying to brag about your "shoe" size? :p

Anyway, it's the redback lurking under the dunny seat you need to be worried about.

Hmm looks like ": roll :" (minus spaces) is broken!

Yes I guess Wellington is still fairly good Banksie. Auckland is also very exepensive to live in, polluted beaches and harbours you cant swim in now and again and South Auckland has "3rd world rates" for many diseases and sickness(though granted its improving). Wellington ok, it should be up there still, but I still dont think Auckland should be there.
