Well, what do you guys think?

I've been playing it for a few hoursl... about half way through the single player campaign (or lack thereof ) and played a few online matches.

Graphics are nice.. nothing amazing going on (ie: bumpmapping or blatant perpixel effects). Frame rate is good most of the time, but could be better. Mechs are well detailed, but lack 'rag doll' deaths Machinegun animations also leave a bit to be desired (I guess these had to be cut down for online play). Build explosions are awesome, but I can't help but think that they'll strike a WTC chord in some.

Music is TERRIBLE, not Robotech bad, but pretty bad. I would have liked custom soundtracks, even for online play. The girl, for some reason, sounds like Cortona.. doubt its her though! The script is well written though, pretty witty dialogue with the NPCs.

The online play is... well, I guess I'll have to play it more. Mostly did team DM, and at first it was fun, but after 5 minutes or so all the buildings are leveled, and its just you shooting a guy whos shooting someone else, while you're being shot from behind.

Anyhow, this title had a lot of high expectations.. and in the back of my head I knew something was up. I haven't quite come to a conclusion yet... what do you guys think?

imo, Federation vs Zeon and Amoured Core did the multiplay a little better (even if you don't like Gundam, Fed v Z is a very fun game)

I think it's a great game! I played it for 7 straight hours last night (5 of which were on Xbox Live).

It's just a fun game. So much destruction and total chaos going on. The graphics are quite good - Halo quality, but no better. The audio is unbelievably good. My sub-woofer gets pushed to the max with this game.

I wish the lobby system was more full-featured, but I'm having a blast with this title. I really enjoyed the first four missions of the single-player game, but this game shines above all as the best console online experience (Phantasy Star Online excepted) currently available.

It deserves all of the 9/10 reviews it has been getting.

This was the first game my friend got, and from what I have seen, its one of the best multiplayer games around. I dont know what you mean about the graphics, they are very good IMO, much better than the TV Spots let on.
