Lots of decisions appear stupid in hindsight but if Sony had bought the whole roster of characters we likely as not wouldn't have anything like the equivalent of the MCU. The fact that the Avengers and their individual characters are so now so recognisable is the result of twelve years of hard slog by Marvel and movie partners.I read somewhere that Sony licensed Spiderman from Marvel for just $7 million dollars which in hindsight is a steal. The issue is that Marvel offered their whole roster for just $25 million and Sony turned them down. LOL.

I think you missed the joke. That's pretty much the color miles morales is in original art. I doubt sony could go change that and still call it miles morales.

Superhero films are hard. Sony's has more success than failure with Spider, but look at Hulk, recent Batman/Justice League outings, Wonder Woman (not bad, but not great), Aquaman, Superman, Fantastic Four and depending on how you feel, recent X-Men movies. I don't think Sony could have produced an MCU anywhere near as successful as Marvel did.
I'm in! Where do I go to get that deal?! LOLIt’s like going to McDonald for a $7 combo and they’re offering one of everything on the entire menu for 25 bucks. LOL.
Sure, possibly good for Sony's finances but I reckon worse for fans of superhero films. Marvel Studios are focussed only on Marvel IP, Sony Studios are not.True. But for $25 million, they would only have needed just a small fraction of MCU success to see a massive reward from their investment.
Equally, Sony might have called it quits if they had a dud like the Amazing Spider-Man movies. When films don't do great, there is usually a hiatus. This is never more apparent than superhero franchises which get paused and rebooted.Their success with Spider-Man alone would have easily justified that level of investment. The investment could have easily been amortized across a couple of Wolverine and X-men films, a few Saturday morning cartoons and a slate of games.
This is a great analogy, but why would you spend three times as much on something that has no value because you can't eat it? You're looking at this roster of characters now, as Marvel has developed a couple of dozen of key ones, across more than a dozen MCU movies and a good half-dozen MC TV shows. It’s like going to McDonald for a $7 combo and they’re offering one of everything on the entire menu for 25 bucks. LOL.
I would of been, “They’re offering what for how much!!!?” “Hell yes!!!!” “We can make that back selling Wolverine branded Ginsu knives!!!”
Sony need to hire new designers. Something went wrong between PS4 and PS5. The new logo with its boring 5, the new color combination (blue + black + white ?). All went wrong.
Case is still blue for PS5?
Interesting. Would have expected a different colour like white.

$757 million and $708 million for the 2 amazing spider man films according to box office mojo. Need more duds.
