So, a while back there was a port of a game to PC - Little King's Story. The port was bad. Really bad. They eventually released a 60 FPS patch/mode. It was bad, really bad.
Here is a story of how they went to the person (Durante) that made the Dark Souls patch fix (DSfix) for PC users and asked him if he could fix the game on PC. They went so far as to give him the entire source code for the game.

That's written by Durante himself on the Xseed blog.
It's a fascinating read. And I might pick this up the next time there's a steam sale on it as it's supposed to be a good game, and it's nice to see a developer/publisher care enough about the performance of their game that they would go to this far in order to try to fix it for their PC users.

SB
