Well, Deadmeat has been doing something like that for weeks and I don't see you handing him banning threats. Yeah, you locked one of his threads, but the main difference is, Chryz has been posting actual news (no matter how poorly translated) and Deadmeat's threads are *all* simple trolling in disguise, yet he gets with it more easily.

Agreed. I'm still trying to figure out how the Cell virus is capable of FTL transit and can "instantly" propogate everywhere. Hey, what do I know.

Although, come to think of it, I think what happens is after the FTL virus injects it's RNA into the Cell, it starts to develop a fever and the sheer heat 'melts' itself from within. Kind of like Ebola HF, just electrical.

I'd think it is only professional of the moderators here warn the moderators there of specific new IP's to watch for, who may be causing trouble for them in the near future. It's the right thing to do, given the unwise choices that PC-Engine has undertaken with regard to mentioning GTF.

Oh and no it's not far from the truth as novicious can attest to it.

...but like I said that was back then as it has become a lot more neutral now...

You may think it was a joke, but evidently you are unconcerned with the ramifications.

Novicius, for a time, suffered from the same thing that Chap (and to a lesser extent, jvd) seems to be right now (though N managed to be more eloquent and methodical about it). He ranted of some "wave of brain-washed Sony fanatics" and the need to "bring truth to these poor, lost souls via Xbox-style" and so forth. After a while, you recognize the profile pretty clearly. It's like some people put their hands on the black box, and some sort of electricity short circuits their brain from rational, objective thought for a few months. The Xbox becomes an obsession, and all of sudden it is them vs. everybody (the masses of Sony zombies).

Finding somebody that "thinks like you" doesn't mean you have verified that you were "right all along". It could just as easily mean you simply found someone suffering from the same mania. Don't get confused by it. Those are words we all could live by...

While I agree these articles are of little value unless properly translated I don't think they are grounds for a ban. I would certainly have to disagree with your statement that it constitutes trolling. Trolling is what people like Deadmeat, Qroach, Chap (though he's really more of a joke character) and Galian Beast exercise. If anything this is spamming and I don't think the volume is quite up there yet.

I'm all for modding but quite frankly you seem to let your personal feelings about dictate your actions.

That's a horrible idea. The traffic on this board isn't high enough to justify a seperation like that.

Hey, if your litmus test for "console support" is the existence of associated lynch mob...

I look upon it more as how people treat each other when exposing their feelings. It makes all the difference between just talking about "stuff" vs. "picking a side" and obsessing over it (as if picking a side is even necessary).

Why. The translations are horrible. They get very few replys. They can all be discussed in the same thread. All 3 of them

relate to each other and can be more easily disscused in one thread that way. THe way he is posting is very simple trolling. It be like if

another member would create seprate threads for each feature set of the new xbox gpu. Why bother when they all work better in one

thread. Simple . He is trolling.

I do not bash other platforms, offend, execute personal attacks, use abusive language, use insults nor derailing threads. Trolling? In fact, I am offended by being accused ot that.

I would hardly call that flooding, it's more an peak caused by availableness of fresh news. The news were presented slick, without any flame-bait. I am happy with the Reply:View ratio. I like slim threads with good postings and dislike threads with 8 pages of hate/bashing/fanb.-wars.

I posted the segements as they were released at watch.impress.co.jp. I did this with the best intentions, even though the translations are not the best, this is a rare chance to get first hand information from the man behind the success and the future of the Play Station brand. He is the driving force behind 100Mio+ sold PSones and 60Mio shipped PS2s. That's why I gave those interview segments so much worth/weight and posted them in single threads. I am sure, it's soon back to radio silence and the forum could return to the usual bias-flavored speculating/ bashing "fun".

My postings are signal, not noise. Admitting your misjudgement against me, is maybe hard to swallow, but just take a look at how many people supported me in this thread and there is not a single reply supporting you.

To the forum: I would like to thank all of you, who spoke up for me *bow*

That seems like a sheer and utter overreaction, especially when considering the sheer and utter trolling-spree Deadmeat's been on for the last couple weeks/months for example.

While I can barely understand a fricken thing in your Kutaragi posts lol, at least the source is someone who knows what he is talking about and would make perfect sense with a better translation (or if I learned Japanese, heh), unlike some others I care not to mention.

And, of course, the further back you stand the more likely people in front of you get shot first.

On the CELL "virus" thing, I certainly think that connectivity can be abused, but would it really be any different than we have right now? CELL needs broadband to communicate that way, and people with broadband already tend to be always-on and vulnerable to hacks and viruses and the like. I'm a lot less worried about it than most PC's, though, considering it will at least be using a Linux base. ^_^ Also, considering most devices won't be used as broad-scale as a computer, it reduces the number of potential transfer methods. Otherwise viruses would have to spread via the base-level load-sharing methods, and in that we pretty much have to accept that the programmers are not foolish enough to let an entire network get hijacked by hostile code.

I don't offhand see anything that will spread and irrevocably break devices--I could more see people trying to run certain programs which searches out for any available processing it can find and just increases network load a lot to be bothersome.

CAN shit happen? Of course--we already live in that world. I figure it won't be anywhere near the kind of crap we have to put up from Windows viruses, though.

I have found the ultimate solution. I have sent foward a new ban list. This includes every single person that has ever posted on this forum. Not only that but we will send out a person to destroy ever pc you have acess to.

For one the post was a joke . For another one. I don't like you at all randy. You are very quick to call other trolls. But at the end of the day you yourself are a huge troll. I keep my mouth shut about alot of things and just report it to the higher ups. But my god I have never seen so many people complain about others and then go and do the same exact thing that they were complaining about. You by far are one of the worse ones. Honestly if you take the amount of pms that i get about you and about chap they are pretty much even .
