KILLZONE Shadow Fall [PS4]

I WANT HER

NOW

Having watched the video again, I am even more convinced she is truly a yakuza assassin!! The way in which she rail guns a guys head off and nails a couple of headshots without so much as twitching is a dead give away!! And then to top it off whilst under fire she brutally melees a helgan to the point of death and beyond

If you play with her, you'll be playing with fire! (To paraphrase some rock bands song;))

Bro, didn't you see the army of fembots behind her ?
She's probably Mr. bigglesworth's caretaker.

The left and right audio channels are reversed in the video..

I love Japanese language and the way they emphasize words :) I'm too old to learn a new language but if Japanese would be at the top of my list if I had to learn one.

Please watch this with sound:

I am dying...this woman is car-raaaaazy...lol

btw, I really don't like it that the green sensor bar of the dual shock is reflected this strong in the screen...meh

Her eyes are a bit freaky

Yes, I'm not expecting to enjoy seeing the light bar reflection on my plasma. Cost free no-mod solutions:

1) Hide the controller behind your legs
2) Insert your hands into a large paper bag...

 or just turn it off, I am sure there will be an option to, just like the vibration.

New MP trailer.

I dont know how many people are actually sitting 1m away from screen
And if anyone uses a PC monitor and is playing close to it, hands are lower placed than the screen so reflection of light bar wont be there

Light bar reflection on the TV, was it a concern for the Move also?
I don't think people should be concerned over this.

Guys, it's is one of the only complaints about PS4, I rather have that, then for example have no light bar, but have DDR3 memory, and the Move camera mandatory. In the worst case scenario I will put some tape over it.

It would be cool if Killzone utilised the lightbar: for example: have it off, but flash red when you are almost dying. or have it off and flash white for .01 sec to confirm a kill, along with the 'chirp' sound... coming through the controller speaker :D !!!!

Nope. never saw my Move on my TV. Maybe it was there, but never noticed it.

I usually play on my monitor and there my controller will be much below my screen, and in my living room, I am so far off (and usually below too when we all squat on the carpet to play) that it won't be an issue.

I have to add my Bravia is not glossy, but matte.

Well that's the thing, isn't it. I can see tiny LED lights from the back of my lounge reflected on my plasma, since the screen is glass. So the PS4 controller will stick out like a sore thumb during TLOU kind of games which are mostly dark. I'd hope i can turn the bloody thing off.

I wouldn't be surprised if one cannot turn it off, because CE designers seem to ignore issues like that. DS4 won't be the first device where I've stuck tape over the excessively bright and obtrusive lights. (Seriously, why do CE device manufacturers choose frickin' Cree super-bright LEDs for what's just a little indicator?! They only need be minimal brightness so you can see it. And it should dim after the initial communication to only be observable when the user goes looking. The stupidest ones are for things like TVs where the light tells you it's switched on, as if the TV glowing and blaring away wasn't clue enough )

You can generally turn off rumble, so maybe they'll make it like that. ;)

As for TVs, many TVs I know actually show black screen instead of static when they don't receive input, so a light that they're on is actually meaningful.

New Killzone info from EGX: Guerrilla: Killzone Shadow Fall multiplayer runs at 60 fps "a lot of the time"

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...-multiplayer-runs-at-60-fps-a-lot-of-the-time

"Running 60 has become this Holy Grail. Suddenly people think if you run 60 your game is better. Technically, that's not really true. But what it does do is it makes decisions go from input to on-screen a lot easier.

"So, having a constant 60 is not actually better than having a 'lot of the time' 60. It sounds weird, but it's actually true. Because usually in the moments where we're going to drop framerate, either you're already dead or it's too late anyway."

The video is full of info.
I could not post it (don't know why, sorry) but you can find it here.

I like they namedropped DF

"It's just we can't go out and say we're always 60, because that's lying. We're very close. And I challenge anybody to notice, without Digital Foundry looking at it, that there are large drops

I knew about DF before they were popular hashtag hipster...

30min 20sec, dev talking about 60fps problem:

"When 24 players throw grande and they explode in front of you, then it wont be 60fps"

I think this is perfectly acceptable.
