Watch out epic. According to Joe you're a thief!

Its not like movie/music studios havent stolen enough from me and anyone else who has ever bought their products. Its about time we got something back. ;) Hey joe why arent all the ceo's who have had charges of price fixing against their companies gone to jail. Because they have money, and money talks in politics/law.

I wanted to tear my eyes out. I hate hate hate QT movies, and have no idea why I keep torturing myself with them.

Kill Bill had a few interesting stylistic twists in certain parts, but generally they didn't work well together at all and the overall movie came off as a retarded film student who had $55 million to spend on a pet project.

On a side note, they say this is the "4th QT movie".. how can this be?

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000233/

Anyhow, I have a very broad mind when it comes to movies, but QT's style just makes me want to vomit (though Pulp Fiction was ok, and Four Rooms was good).
This is his 4th movie . Learn to count . He directed resivor dogs (his best work) , Pulp fiction (*his most famous work) , Jacky brown (his stinker) , and now kill bill .

He directed 1 segmant of 4 rooms . I believe its the one with the 2 kids but am not sure . All the other movies he had bit parts in . Basicly cameos .

To say they are ripping off the movie fans is a bit of a miss understanding . The original movie was to cost a fixed amount. It ended up costing more than double . It was also long enough to be split into two good length movies with out loosing any feel. If anything it actually made for a better movie. This also allows mirimax (one of the smaller movie stuidos) to make back the massive amount of money they sunk into this . This is thier titanic . This could sink the studio if it bombs .

Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)
Jackie Brown (1997)
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Reservoir Dogs (1992)
My Best Friend's Birthday (1987)

5, it would seem. IMDB don't lie!

edit: It would seem 'My Best Friend's Birthday' was destroyed in a fire before it was released, so technically Kill Bill is his 5th movie

Not quite sure if you're being serious or not, but they have never stolen anything from you.

C'mon Joe say it. I know you want to. All together now.

Epicstruggle is a thief! And you hope the movie industry finds every last thief like him and prosecutes and convicts him. C'mon. I know you want to say it. ;)

Anyone who takes something that does not belong to him is committing a theft. If said person is actively doing it, he's a theif.

Pretty cut and dry if you ask me.

Yup, I hope every thief is caught and convicted. Wow...I have such extreme and outlandish views!

Well you're a thief too, so count yourself among the damned.

Need we have that discussion here too?
damn straight.
could we keep the topic on Kill Bill, not Joe/natoma word wars?

On kill Bill:
was weird. liked alot of it, thought some of it was strange. Gonna have to think about the film before i render a final verdict. It was entertaining, and fun, but...different...than expected.

Anyways, after i saw it, i read that there is an epilogue after the credits?
and i didnt stay to see it (not knowing). did anyone?

Sorry for go off topic, but:
They have been found guilty of price fixing. Coluding(sp?) with the industry to charge more than the market would be willing to bear.

heres how much they stole(overcharged):
480 million
how much they are paying back:
143.1 million
source:http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/news/2002-09-30-cd-settlement_x.htm
Seems fairs, right?

back on topic,
I plan on watching KB this weekend. hope its as good as all the reviews say it is. :)

later,
epic

I saw it. Pretty gross.

The usual satire was there, but exceptionally obvious. During the movie there were alot of times where I thought it was complete ass, at the end I felt it was pretty good on the whole.

Was Iron Monkey a QT film ?

But Humus and Althornin, it's so much fun! Shouldn't we root out the evildoers?

If you haven't realized by now, this is all on my part nothing but mockery of 'certain persons' black&white stance on 'certain issues'. Nothing more, nothing less. hehe.

This will hopefully be my last comment on this:

1) They have NOT been found guilty. They settled the case as described in the very article you linked.
2) How does one "Price Fix" an item that is in no way, shape or form, a necessity?

They can "price fix" CDs at $100 a pop for all I care. If it ACTUALLY is more than the market can bear, then the market won't bear it!

I'll probably go and see it again at some point...my wife wants to see it!

Okay kill bill was supposed to cost 20 million it ended up costing 55 million for the two of them . Kill bill volume 1 made 22 million opening weekend. Even though its entering into some pretty tough weeks coming up it should hit 100 million . Very good money maker .

A much better japanese to american convergence than the matrix.

FYI, if we're talking film styles, the Matrix is a convergence of Japanese, American, and Chinese.

Ok, maybe not found guilty, but they did settle the case for more than 100 million dollars, i guess that just a gesture of goodwill? ;)

Look if i (a widget maker) get together with 3 other widget makers and agree to sell them for 10 dollars and nothing lower. Is that acceptable? Of course not.

ps on kill bill, i hear that there is some real annoying red dots in the film. How noticeable were they? I didnt get a chance to see it yet.
