Just got my Ps2!!!!

Yup I got it on sunday..I was planning to get the network adaptor but they didn't have it in stock...can't wait to get SOCOM and play in online Yippe!!!

Where I live they *never* have network adapter in stock

Just to point out, while you can play SOCOM in one player mode, the game is clearly designed for network play.

Some other fun and more or less famous games that you really should check out (they are very cheap now, btw)

Ico, Frequency, Rez, MGS2, SSX Tricky, GTA:Vice, Gran Turismo 3.

I've read that Ratchet and Clank is very good. Also check out Timesplitters 2 for solid FPS action.

You must play ICO and Maximo. Those are two great games. My only reasons so far for wanting a PS2.

Maximo is nice game and also very cheap, but there are better arcade / platform games IMO. I would recommend Klonoa 2, Rygar, Ratchet & Clank or Jak & Daxter over it, but Maximo has big appeal to some hardcore gamers. It's a game made very much by 'oldskool' rules.
