Just a thing, EB's got a new server

We've gotten a lot of grief, (deservedly!), over at Elite Bastards for how reliably our forums die whenever we get anything interesting; but it looks like that problem really might be gone for good now.

We gots ourselves some new forum digs!

We're still ironing out the wrinkles, and to make a theme in our colours and what not; but it's looking well and FLYING for speed. Me is very happiful.

Sweet. Now if you could kindly iron out the wrinkles and slowness in the /cms/ portion of the site. You know, the Front Page. Cue "OMG! EB HAS A FRONT PAGE?"

I'm sure it'll start flying once the news bits are linked into the new forums server.

Moving the forum should theoretically fix that problem, at least the way it was explained to me.

Whey. Your forums are lurkable now, not just annoyingly slow.

Do have a quick play around with mod rewrite, though, to unbreak all the links pointing to the old location.
