I want some of what you have, if you seriously think we will see a PS3 price drop in May. Your other prediction is much more realistic.

If this data has any truth in it: PlayStation 3 $167,704,647 288,636

Then
$500x + $600y = 167704647
x + y = 288636

y = 233866.47
x = 54769.53

The $600 model is selling 4.3x better than the $500 model. This seems to fly in the face of the claims that it is the price of the machine that is holding it back.

Well, time to close the thread I guess. As soon as further info comes in on NPD numbers, I trust we'll see it reported promptly by those with their fingers on the pulse, and we can pick up discussion where it left off.
