If that's what you feel he is like, then that's what he wants: your frustration... and you eat it up every single time don't you? Use that noggin' of yours and devise a way to fix the "problem" instead of complaining about it ;) Here are a few ways to start: don't reply at all, reply with an intelligent post concentrating on the areas of the info in his post you feel are false, laugh it off like archie did, etc...

If more posters started doing this then the board here would improve quite a bit. Trust me, I've seen it happen many times. I want to see this place improve just as much as many of you do. However, it's not going to unless we all start putting forth more effort, thinking before we post, and taking more responsibility for our own posts. It's not going to get better with people just sitting back and doing the same crap over and over again that so many people don't like. You also can't expect the mods to intervene in every situation and be at everyone's beck and call. You also can't expect them to moderate every problem situation in a manner you think is fair.

I agree with you, truely. But, what can you do to a reoccuring problem that disavows your "educated" responces?

A shining example in my mind is his cyclical argument on how the VU1 was "tacked-on" only after the Dreamcast was unveiled, and thus the EE was rushed/incomplete/cluster-f*ck, et al.

Several times I posted links to SCE patents filed in early 1997 that clearly show the current EE microarchitecture and that it was, in fact, a dual vector processor by design - which temporally fits in with SCE's origional design timeframe as per their meeting with Toshiba in late 1996. Yet, he ignored facts and continues with the argument as if it just didn't exist. It gets old... it sucks.

Vince I don't know what your problem is really. When I lock any Sony related topic I get a few posts explaining that the discussion was interesting and should be left open. As you will note I did lock the last thread that could very well lead to a flamefest by a thread Deadmeat started.

I edited Li Mu Bai's post for bringing nothing to the discussion. Why should chap be involved in this thread when he is nowhere to be seen? Please explain that one to me.

It's clear to me a lot of members have a bias towards a specific maker of consoles. We happen to have one very active MS and Xbox fan and one very anti-Sony fan on these boards. Should it be my goal as a moderator to censor the boards every time these posters make something others highly disagree with? We also happen to have a few very active members who really like Sony. I see no problems with that aside from a bias. But the bias is to be expected in a console forum that is here for discussion of the technology, games, and overall industry of videogames on consoles.
