I'm skeptical about, what, I honestly no-strawman believe, is your claim that x86 tablets are going to sweep the market. I believe tablets will have their place next to notebooks, with some overlap, of course. Just the way phone overlap tablets without making one or the other redundant.
I find myself constantly switching between a phone, iPad, MacBook Air 11, MacBook 15 and a desktop, just because one has enough advantages for a particular task than the other. I don't believe a Win8 x86 tablet is going to change that.
