iMac RIP...

I thought it was ugly. I'm glad it died.

Right now, my favourite Apple design, is the big ass LCD and the tower.

The tower isn't ugly, so I can keep it in sight, or out of sight if I so choose -- I believe the cords are fairly long.

Now all Apple needs is either a beefier processor or maybe just more system bandwidth. They really could use some more computing power. Yes, I do believe this is important, since I do a fair number of CPU intensive things.

I was never overly fond of the iMac myself. I did believe that it was a neat idea and it was really simple to setup and use. The lack of expansion made it a little usesless though.

I do like the G4 Macs though (I have a tower at home), they're pretty quick but again they always seem to be that little bit slower than a similar spec PC, even though it should be quicker.

Out of curiosity, why should it be quicker?
Cause apple marketing says so!

I do agree, the G4 towers i do some work on at work are significantly slower (and cost more) than the PC's (for cpu intensive work)

Well their I/O is pretty impressive, but I'd expect that from a really good micro controller designed for mainly routing network traffic, IIRC. ;)

Okay, I'll stop being mean.
