Some good pics of the live interface

June 3, 2005 - Directly after E3 Microsoft sent out an Xbox 360 information booklet complete with an image packed CD. While there isn't a whole lot of new information included with the material there are some snazzy shots of the console and Xbox Live interface that gives us a more complete picture of the system before it hits store shelves. A few of the pretty pictures can even be used as wallpaper. Or you can print out the console images, glue them to a convex shoe box, and pretend you have Xbox 360 right now!

The xbox live interfaces looks pretty easy to use and it looks like they put alot of work into it anyways these were teh best i've seen of them so far so i figured i'd pass them along

I must say that i could care less about these face plates, i'd rather take a black XBox that blends in with my other tv/hifi units.

What i'm interested in though is the media extender capabilities (in one of the pictures), HDTV capable among other things. What's lacking is the HDDVD/BlueRay player and HDMI/DVI outputs, preferably two. Let's see if MS can manage to add that to the XBox 360 before the PS3 comes out, how about a XBox 360 MC Edition ? :)

Is that a real aluminum faceplate? If it is it would be neat if they have them in different anodized colors like black, gunmetal, etc. The wooden texture one looks pretty cool too. :)

no clue , hehe i'm still in love with the xbox live interface haha i keep looking at that and this

hehehe... I hope that guy on the truck has LOTs of ammo....

If that guy was smart he would not want to kill those zombies, since dead zombies laying on top of one another makes for a good climbing platform. :p

Anyway I've been looking a the X360 controller up close and notice the colored buttons are slightly transparent which is another nice asthetic touch. Also the shoulder buttons have a cool looking bevel to them, very nice little details.

The colored jewel buttons are what the Xbox already uses. At least I believe my controllers are that way (or maybe it's my wireless Logitech controller).

sorry whats wrong with 4 controllers set up in a circle > Thier whole thign is 360 ... be kinda stupid if it was set up in a square right ?

i guess if you look at it long enough. However to me i first saw a 2 circles , the middle one and the outside one ...

Having said all of the above though, i have to add that the more I look at the overall 360 design, the more I like it. I just may have to get one of those things. We'll see what they come up with in terms of games.

looks like it's time to build me a dedicated Windows Media Centre PC!!!
:devilish:

The interface looks great, I wonder if they'll really let the gambling thing go. I wouldn't mind entering real tournaments for Forza or Online Poke stuff like that.

From looking at the controller I wonder if MS will try to get into the VoIP game?

I hope it's better (and more stable) than the current MS MCE remote... Both a coworker and I have built MCE 2005 boxes and the remote is one buggy POS...!
