Perhaps you know, but as it seems that your relationship with Ati is better than with Nvidia, nevertheless you put up the review of the NV31 before the RV350, makes me wonderDaveBaumann said:Evildeus said:Where are they though? :?
Well, I know where a few of em are!
I think that the consequences on the IBM' 0.13um processes are more interesting from my point of viewDaveBaumann said:Well, what is interesting is that its now going to .15um processes, which will (hopefully) have direct ramifications on some GFX products. The question is whether NVIDIA will be offered more attractive .15um pricings by TSMC or not, seeing as they have gone with IBM for other processes - presumably they will, as they won't want to loose that business as well.
Sorry, can't say But there still aren't ANY officially released benchmarks of R9600/Pro and the RV350-chip was introduced a month ago. All this can mean only one thing: ATI is still working on it, doing new revisions. And (from my info) they aren't very happy with these revisions in light of NV31 AND NV36 coming out in June-July.Where are these reports of 'problems' for RV350 coming from?
These are not final even if they are working properlyWell, I know where a few of em are!
I wouldn't be so sure about 5600...Well, i'll be surprise if we can find any 9600 or 5600 boards before the end of april in France

Your sample may have final specs , but may be not final as chip revision.DaveBaumann said:
OK, let's just wait then... But for what? FX5600s in retial? Or NV36 in retail?..DaveBaumann said:That because they are NDA'd. Chips are final now.
That's why I said "officially". Those benches weren't final, ATI is trying to speed up/cost down RV350 right now and they've ran (according to my info) into some troubles with this.Uttar said:Good idea for saying "officially", considering how I released RV350 benchies a few days after the announcement.
Nope, that's a solid info (though it may change at every minute). Don't sure about "available", but we should see at least an announcment of NV36 in June. NV isn't very happy with NV31 in the same way as with NV30, so they want a very fast product change. Till the end of the year there should be NV34 - NV36 - NV35 product line, NV30 and NV31 should be dead.Uttar said:Anyway, do you have any info which indicates the NV36 will be available in July? Or is that just speculation?
I think dave was speaking about the RV350DegustatoR said:OK, let's just wait then... But for what? FX5600s in retial? Or NV36 in retail?DaveBaumann said:That because they are NDA'd. Chips are final now.
