On medium, i dreaded the combat in the game since its so one dimensional, so i was trying to run from combat when it was possible. The combat, while having a few various tools, is too reliant on the dodge mechanic and shooting a weak spot. Literally, every single enemy from the first second to the last, was dodge at the attack moment then shoot an arrow. Every single time. I profoundly disliked this game in every area, so it could very well be that i played it just to be done with it after a while and rushed
What open world action/RPGs do you like? I don't like HZD at all but the combat is among the best in the genre.

I guess it depends on what we're refering to. The mechanical aspect ? The feel ? How it feels to release an arrow ? Sure, that's well done. The way the game plays is the issue. Playing it, i remembered the good old Dark Messiah, from 2006. Because there was a particular review, i think from gamespot, who called it sir kicksalot. Implying that the game has an overreliance on kicking every oponent you find, dismissing all the other tools in your arsenal.

Same thing applies here. Yeah, you have a couple of different weapons in your tool belt. You can lay out some traps. But you never need to. The game has one of the most one dimensional combat systems ive ever seen. What you need to do, in 100% of cases, at hour 1, hour 10, hour 50, with every single enemy type, is roll when he atacks, then release an arrow to his batman vission telegraphed weak point. Roll again at the next attack, hit the weak point. And do exactly that 1000 times until the game is over. The fact that every single encounter took ages to get it done with just exacerbated this issue

And there's your problem, it's a completely different game on Ultra and this whole running up to enemies and just hitting them doesn't work, you genuinely have to think strategically in the battles.

Will it have a 60fps mode on the PS5? It would feel like a slight downgrade if it doesn't since HZD was updated to 60fps earlier this year.

Looks close enough to the PS5, and im sure in special in motion. Seems the majority of PS gamers wont be missing out all that much.

I have high expectations for this one ;)
typically the first title doesn't include all the ideas they really wanted in the game. They make sure it's streamlined, to the point etc. The sequel usually contains the things they really wanted to get to but couldn't in the first title. So, I'm really hoping for more here, so far I like what I see, but curious to see what else has been added.
