Hey, look! A Wii advert at B3D!

Am I the only one that doesn't pay any attention to those things? There was a thread in site feedback on deceptive banners a while back too.

BTW, sorry to the B3D admins for saying that!

Please don't use adblock programs, this site depends on ads for its survival. It's very selfish to then use a blocker, knowing this full and well.

Besides, ads are typically region-related. Nintendo.com is the US site, so the ad would likely only be presented to users whose systems are assigned american IP-numbers...

I have an extension called NoScript for Firefox. While I allow B3D JS and JS for other sites I visit, the JS for universal ad networks like sitemeter, falkag, doubleclick, etc are blocked because I don't let JS run from those addresses.

No choice in the matter on this case.

Well I'm in the UK, and it seemed UK specific (though perhaps redirected to local file from IP address?). There was a definite Englishism in it, though I can't remember what it was now.

I don't see the big deal with the ads as long as they aren't shoved into the main section of the page. *shrug*
