The 'HEAVENLY SWORD' trademark was recently taken by SCEE.

Apparently other trademarks of game names SCE had taken are all exclusives/in-house such as 'ARMORED CORE', 'WILD ARMS', 'SOCOM', 'KILLZONE', 'GRAN TURISMO' etc. So my inevitable conclusion is that 'Heavenly Sword' was bought by SCEE, like Killzone. Whaddyathink?

The thought of a next gen Armored Core is making me drool ...

I'm certainly happy for Deano et al. if true, but sad for myself. I will likely never play the game if it's exclusive to the PS3.

Why? If he's huge Halo fan should he buy a PS3? Or if he's a Nintendo geek should he buy a PS3? Your comments speak more about your own close-mindness than his...

yeay talk abt jumpin on people choices...

put aside that, apr isue of EGDE have short column on this game. it talk about how deano team ran abt searching for publisher. ended with some publisher bailing a deal at last moment.

EGDE is old, think by now deano have found publisher as he said in one last post. seem is it SCEE?

I believe that's a she you're referring to. ;)

It great news for Ninja Theory to have Sony as a publisher. Heavenly Sword will get a lot of press coverage.

The only thing that concerns me is online. I really like X-Box LIVE as it exists today and all the new stuff Allard has been talking about sounds awesome. If Sony attempts to build a service like LIVE, I'll have to subscribe to two services to play online on both the XB 360 and PS3, and I doubt I'll pay for two even though I'll own both consoles.

The PS3 online gameplan is unclear to me.

After the publicity Microsoft gathered from this gen with their Live server, don't expect the others to set on their butts twiddling their thumbs. Everything (or at least most of it) that was brought up about how Sony would repeat such and such mistakes from this gen early within this console's development stage has taken a huge turn for those who refused to believe in the possibility. Let's just say things are just getting warmed up. It's like I said before, these competitors didn't get where they are today by being morons.

Sony have advertised for positions of network designers types, and all seems to point to a Live! type service of sorts - at least much improved from the current PS2 online service (or lack thereof). However, one of the key bonuses to PS2's online is the presence of games that don't need any subscription. Unlike Live! where you need money dwn to play online, once your PS2 is networked there's games you can play without any extra cost. I wouldn't dabble with online if I had to pay for it, but free online has some appeal.

Presently though, Xenon seems the console of onliners choice, as doesn't every Xenon game have to be Live enabled according to reports?

If this wasn't a sarcasm then wow.

I'm into quality, so cost doesn't bother me as long it's a fair price. A subscribtion at $50.00 a year isn't bad. Obviously a lower cost is more attractive, but I'd hate to see that happen at the expensive of quality. A free service sounds great on the surface, but the reality is that it will have to generate revenue somewhere. What sacrifices will have to be made? Online ads quickly come to mind. I hope Microsoft sticks to its guns and maintains the subscribtion fee and attempts to win new subscribers with innovative software services and features.

The saying "you get what you pay for" is something I've found to be true in life. I'm sure it will apply to online services from Microsoft and Sony. Who knows maybe it will end up comming down to a basic free service and a premium service with lots of bells and whistles and hopefully no advertisements.

So maybe working on those Geforce 6's (for the SM 3 capability) wasn't such a bad idea afterall ;)

Read again: "I will likely never play the game if it's exclusive to the PS3."

I can only make good use of 1 console. More than 1 would be a waste of money. And right now I'm leaning towards what I see of Xenon. Get off my back.

See above. Apparently reading disability is contagious among B3D veterans.

I find it quite funny that I get blasted for being closed minded by people who closed their minds to what I am.
