Fighters look cleaner, i can see some shimmering in the backgrounds and the lighting looks a tad muted now. :?

Not very impressive, looks like PS2 VF4 with a massive blur filter turned on and half the lighting ;)

Characters dont look as detailed either, but I think its just me.

Ummmm... That's because it *is* a PS2 VF4...

Lol, thanks for the tip. I meant PS2 VF4, not PS2 VF4 Evo. AM2 said they did a big graphics overall, and I don't really see it.

Do you expect to see anything with a scaled down MPEG file ?

The game is claimed to provide 480p output, you are not downloading a 720x480 or more MPEG2 file, right ?

I'd say wait until you see the real game before giving comment than talking on downloaded small rez movies and bloated screenshots like the little kid does.

For a BIG graphics overhaul, or at least something that would make graphics immediately look much better, all they need to do is get rid of that HORRIBLE interlaced image........ HORRIBLE because at the speed of this game it really stands out even more than usual....

i know we've been through this already and i really shouldn't be the one to rub it in, but good image quality would make VF4 on ps2 really stand out. as it is now it can be quite painful at times... especially on a good TV where details are even more highlighted... but i hear it will support Progressive Scan (which BTW i still cant get on my LCD Screen, See "little Problem" post) so thats cool.... still i'm more looking forward to soul calibur 2....

archie have u had a look at my "little problem" topic? any help from u? i know u shouldn't lower yourself to *apparently* simple matters like that, but NO ONE seems to be able to help me on that one so i hope u'd know more about it...... PRETTY PLEASE..... i mean i don't think i'd need to be a squaresoft developer to know that kind of stuff... OR DO I?...

You're comparing it to what ? And you can see all that from that mpeg ?

Well, that mpeg is from the Arcade, AM2 is just as lazy as usual.

Just reading this again, N2 VF4 has half the lighting of PS2 VF4.

Zurich what have you been smoking ?

PS For your info, I was having some cognac, when I missed that the first time around. ;)

So the video was from the arcade???
Is Sega what ashamed of their PS2 version? :devilish:

You didn't know ? LOL

Nah, AM2 is just lazy bunch. Or they know most people are like you, never satisfied regardless, since it is on PS2.

It was interesting last time, because AM2 released shots from arcade and PS2 together, and not many people know which is which.

I blame AM2 for leasing tiny tiny screens and videos. :devilish:
Give me true screen shots and i can tell from a mile the PS2/N2 difference. :p

That video is quite high res.

Just admitted, you can't tell the difference between Arcade and PS2 one. AM2 did a good job indeed. Its your biased toward PS2 that make the difference. ;)

That video is not true PS2 resolution. :p
No no and no, i am not biased towards PS2. I am just slight positively biased towards Xbox. :p

That video is not true PS2 resolution.

Excuses, excuses, it doesn't matter. You saw it and concluded that was PS2 version and commented on it. But you aren't the only one that was fooled by AM2.

Becuase that is what the site who linked the video said. "Preview/Trailer of VF4 Evo for PS2" Stupid internet game sites. :p

chap, with all due respect  but what kind of life do u live? i'm on this site pretty much all day long from work (don't have time to post a lot of course) but you seem to be posting (bullshit) like 24/7..... don't u ever go out? school? eat? you sound a bit too young-immature to be working (god help your employer if u are) and i guess u're still at school....

and it's not like you're posting anything intelligent anyway. wouldn't really mind if that was the case... actually i don't even mind as it goes, cause i don't really care about what you do with your life anyway, i'm just curious though...

B3D.com forums IS my life!

Dun be hating me! I speak the truth, i speak my mind. AM2 suck for leasing tiny PS2 shots. o_O

AM2 suck for leasing tiny PS2 shots.

Since when is AM2 charging people to view their screens? ;) Besides, they're under no obligation to release anything at all and you could be just stuck with speculation until the title is released. You should be happy that you get anything at all... :p

Blame it on stupid internet game sites, blame it on AM2. They didn't make the mistake, you did. Its just prejudice against PS2. N2 (or anything) ported to PS2 equal to crap.

PS2 VF4 Evo impressions:

The most common issue brought up with PS2 VF4 and now VF4E is how the graphics compare to the Naomi 2 original. Let me say right off the bat that it does indeed look lots better than the original PS2 port: fewer jaggies, better textures, etc. That having been said, compared to the Naomi 2 VF4E, it still looks like junk. The character models are lower in polygon count, the textures still don't hold up well, colors are generally dithered, background detail (such as the number of spectators in Wolf's stage) has been reduced, and the lighting is way, way off. Having played the arcade game on a daily basis since I got to Japan, these difference are blatantly obvious. Not that it isn't an admirable conversion given the limited power of the PS2 compared to the Naomi 2. I think of it like VF2 on Saturn, i.e., glaringly inferior when compared to the arcade original but highly impressive given the hardware.

Hate to say this but I am starting to become a N2 convert.

Sega: We are releasing Naomi Killer 2 Fighters this March 24th

Gamer: Wow! Can we have some screens/movies? Love to see the graphiX!

Sega: No. Speculate all you want. No.

Gamer: Fuck you Sega.

:p
