I'm looking for some goo places (like forums) to buy/sell used hardware. Specifically, I'm looking to buy a Radeon 9700 or better. Already looked at Rade3d, any other suggestions? Seems better deals can be had on those forums than ebay so I'd prefer to avoid ebay.

Hmmm...I've had great luck at FutureMark's & [H] buy/trade if you're looking to move it in a hurry and you're good at spotting fakes. I've also gotten great deals at Rage3D, nVnews, and just lately over at Elite Bastards. (I just picked up an 80Gb WD special edition for $50 shipped and the guy only lives a couple of hundred miles away so it gets here QUICK! Also, he's leaving it loaded up with his Enterprise & CSI collection....add to that I can pay cash and keep it under the wife's radar and it kind of explains why I buy sooo much hardware thru the forums.)
I've had really good experiences buying thru forums, I've been very lucky. I like shopping there, people actually price things well and you can really get great deals and know what you're getting.

Oh, I should mention that FutureMark & [H]'s forums are where I usually go if I'm looking for a video card. Just make sure you check out the guy you're planning to buy from. (This coming from a man who just mails cash in an envelope...

Check their heat, check their name doing a forum search to see what else they've sold/traded and how those went, check their postcount.Sage said:
Actually, in trading that's one time where postcount actually is kind of handy. Generally speaking a guy with a high postcount at a forum ain't gonna dick you over on his homebase, it just ain't worth it.
To be honest though, I just trust me geek-senses. If it looks/feels good I go for it, if I have a bad feeling or it sounds too good to be true I pass it by.
EDITED BITS: There are a LOT of established traders on [H] and FM's boards, people who just do this to make some cash to upgrade their stuff. It's pretty bloody obvious who they are by their sigs with a dozen ways to check on their credibility all handy like, and they are usually VERY safe people to buy from and really REALLY good about getting it out fast and being accurate in what you're getting. They live by repeat business so they're good name is important to 'em.
