VISUAL PROBLEMS IN GENERAL

Screen Door Effect:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_door_effect
The Screen Door Effect or FPN (Fixed Pattern Noise) is a visual artifact of the projection technology use in digital projectors, where the fine lines separating the projector's pixels become visible in the projected image. This results in an image that appears as if viewed through a screen door. It can appear as a grid like structure or as a hexagonal structure.

The appearance of viewing an image from an LCD (liquid-crystal display) projector as if through a screen door. This occurs because LCD projectors have pixels with limited fill factors. For instance, if the pixels have a 70% fill factor, the remaining 30% of each pixel is the unlit border area.
